| Ruling Text: Mr. McAssey was trainer of record for ODDS ON BLOCKCHAIN in the 4th Qualifying Race on March 18, 2023. Post race analysis of sample 3266210 showed the presence of METHYLPREDNISOLONE above the threshold permitted by the Commission. Having appeared before a representative of the NYSGC and waiving his right to a formal hearing and right to appeal, Mr. McAssey's $500 fine is hereby reduced to a $250 fine. ODDS ON BLOCKCHAIN finished 1st was disqualified and placed 8th. ODDS ON BLOCKCHAIN shall be required to submit a negative sample prior to entering to qualify. Further violations of this nature will result in greater penalties. |
