| Ruling Text: Ms. Gray was trainer of record for AEROSMITH HANOVER in the 1st Race at Saratoga Harness on October 1, 2022. Post race analysis of sample CV3502038 showed the presence of PHENYLBUTAZONE above the threshold permitted by the Commission. Having appeared before a representative of the NYSGC and waiving her right to a split sample, formal hearing, and right to appeal, Ms. Gray's 15 day suspension and $1,000 fine is hereby reduced to a 7 day full suspension and $500 fine. During the term of suspension, Ms. Gray is deemed a disqualified person and is not permitted to participate in racing in New York State, and ruled off all grounds under the jurisdiction of the NYSGC. No trainer transfers of horses in Ms. Gray's care will be permitted. AEROSMITH HANOVER finished 1st was disqualified and placed 9th. All purse monies from the above mentioned race are ordered returned and redistributed. AEROSMITH HANOVER shall provide a negative sample prior to being permitted to enter to qualify (sample provided). Ms. Gray has returned the purse and paid the fine. |
