| Ruling Text: Jockey Guillermo Rodriguez, rider of “Potnia’s Song” (#5), is suspended for 7 calendar days effective Friday, July 19, 2013 through Thursday, July 25, 2013, inclusive; for interfering with “Bandit Lady” (#3) entering the first turn during the running of the 2nd race on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
Having appealed, a stay is granted for 90 days for Jockey G. Rodriguez to complete his appeal hearing and, should he do so within 90 days of this ruling, for such time as the commission takes to decide his appeal. If he fails to complete the evidentiary hearing within 90 days of this ruling, however, then this stay will expire and his penalty will begin. G. Rodriguez may seek an additional stay for good cause shown by filing a motion for another stay with the Secretary of the Gaming Commission.
