| Ruling Text: YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE, before the New York State Racing and Wagering Board at its main office located at 1 Broadway Center, Suite 600, Schenectady, New York, 12305, why your license to participate as a general services worker in pari-mutuel harness racing should not be suspended or revoked pursuant to §§ 309, and 321 of the Racing, Pari-Mutuel Wagering and Breeding Law and the Rules and Regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, 9E NYCRR §§4119.1, 4119.3, 4119.7(b), 4119.8 and 4119.9(a) because: 1. You have been indicted by a Grand Jury in Erie County for the crime of Murder in the Second Degree, in violation of Penal Law §125.25 Sub 01, a Class A Felony, for causing the death of Herbert Forthman on October 4, 2008. 2. On or about October 4, 2008, you caused the death of Herbert Forthman by stabbing him. 3. Your experience, character and general fitness are such that participation in racing by you would be inconsistent with the public interest, convenience or necessity, or in the best interest of racing generally. FINDINGS AND ORDER, MARCH 31, 2011, Kristen M. Buckley: ORDERED, that Linda Campanella’s license to participate in pari-mutuel harness racing is revoked, and she is denied the privileges of the grounds of all race tracks under the jurisdiction of this Board. |
