| Ruling Text: On August 19, 2008, you treated the horse, "Speeding David" by intravenous injection with phenylbutazone and banamine (flunixin), on the day prior to the horse's scheduled race date of 08/20/08. This is in violation of 4120.2(d). The records you provided, regarding the horse, "Speeding David", failed to indicate the time of treatment for the intravenous injection of phenylbutazone and banamine (flunixin) on 07/23/08 and 08/06/08 (both days prior to a race day). Veterinarian records should indicate the name of the horse, the nature of the horse's ailment, the type of treatment prescribed and performed as well as the date and time for each treatment. |
