| Ruling Text: Having received a report from the New York State Racing and Wagering Board' s Equine Drug Testing Laboratory at Cornell University of the finding of Lidocaine and it's metabolites in the body fluid samples of the horse "Port Rock" which finished 2nd in the 4th race on May 9, 2008 at Finger Lakes Race Track, and having waived his right to appeal, Owner/Trainer George J. Grennan is suspended for 15 calendar days effective Monday September 15, 2008 through Monday September 29, 2008 inclusive and is fined $250.00. During the period of his suspension, Owner/Trainer George J. Grannan is denied the privileges of the grounds of Race Tracks in New York State. In a previous ruling Dated July 3, 2008 the Stewards ordered "Port Rock" disqualified from any part of the purse from the 4th race on May 9, 2008. |
