Suarez, rider of the #5 horse "Takmeoutodabalgame" is suspended for 7 calendar days effective Tuesday June 17, 2008 through Monday June 23, 2008 inclusive for interfering with the #1 horse "Wicked Retort" in the area of the 1/4 pole during the running of the 6th race on Monday June 9, 2008. The suspension is stayed pending the outcome of Jockey Suarez's appeal filed Saturday June 14, 2008. Having whithdrawn his appeal of the Stewards decision concerning the running of the 6th race on Monday June 9, 2008, Jockey Gabriel J. Suarez is suspended for 7 calendar days effective Wednesday July 2, 2008 through Tuesday July 8, 2008 inclusive. |
